The Royal Wedding

Prince Harry, fifth in line to the British throne, will marry beautiful bride – to – be, American actress famously known for her role in Suits, Meghan Markle. The Royal couple will tie the knot at Windsor’s dedicated place of worship, St George’s Chapel, on Saturday 19th May 2018.

Featuring elaborate stonework, gothic architecture and colourful stain glassed windows, the magnificent Chapel was originally built as a spiritual home for ancient knights. It is the resting place of many Royal monarchs, including Prince Harry’s great grandmother, The Queen Mother. In addition, St George’s Chapel was the named place where Prince Harry was christened as a baby, making it a venue personal to him allowing the Prince to marry there.

The Chapel is surrounded by Horseshoe cloisters and features the Henry VIII gate, giving the Royal Couple a more intimate and private wedding, seating approximately 800 guests than those famously held at Westminster Abbey, where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge married in 2011. Kensington Palace have announced that Prince Harry and Meghan often spend time together at Windsor, where the wedding will reflect who they are as a couple.

The fairytale wedding will commence at 12 noon, where the Dean of Windsor will conduct the service, and the Archbishop of Canterbury will marry Prince Harry and Meghan whilst the couple make their vows. After the ceremony, the newlyweds will embark on an elegant carriage journey around the Windsor area, allowing members of the public to express their joy and greet the new Royal couple.

Following the ceremony, a reception at St George’s Hall will take place where close friends and family can congratulate the Royal couple.
