Environmental Fund
For every room night that is booked directly with Mansley Serviced Apartments we donate £1 to our Environmental Fund. This fund is used to help support essential projects around the world. By partnering with specialised organisations, we are able ensure that our donations have maximum impact in the areas that need them the most. This also means that by booking direct with Mansley Serviced Apartments you are helping to fund tree planting and ocean cleaning initiatives right across the globe. JUST ONE Tree: Our partnership with JUST ONE Tree has seen us plant over 1,500 trees and counting! But more than just a number, our forest creates rural employment, gives homes to wildlife and marine life AND will absorb approximately 512.3 tonnes of CO2 as it grows. JUST ONE Tree support reforestation organisations around the globe, focusing on areas severely affected by mass deforestation. Their partners work with communities that are committed to restoring their forests. Through training, education, and employment they are lifted out of poverty, whilst simultaneously improving the environment.
JUST ONE Tree are a certified and verified Social Enterprise as well as being an official partner of the United Nations in their Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
CleanHub: The CleanHub mission is to prevent plastic from ending up in the ocean by offering a trackable solution for companies to take action and enable organisations to build sustainable solutions to improve plastic crisis. CleanHub believe that plastic pollution is solved on land, not in the sea. Their goal is to create waste management systems where they don’t yet exist, to stop plastic waste before it gets burned, or ends up in landfills or oceans.
The projects that we support via CleanHub not only help the environment but also create more jobs in coastal communities, where workers are treated well, paid fairly, and have the opportunity to learn new skills.
Through our collaboration with CleanHub we have so far committed to remove 352kg of plastic waste from ending up in landfills, open environments, or our oceans. Our ongoing funding of their projects from our Environmental Fund will see our impact continue to grow.
The work that CleanHub do is audited and verified by the German company TÜV SÜD and are also members of the United Nations Business Coalition Treaty on Plastic Pollution.
