While our main business is the operation of serviced apartments, By Mansley also owns over 1200 acres of commercial forest which are part of the Forestry Stewardship Council and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification. All products are kitemarked from the forest to the end consumer. As of 2021, we lock up 18m3 of carbon per acre each year, or 9000 m3 in total. Despite as a group probably being a net capturer of carbon, we are committed to promoting a greener and more sustainable approach to operating serviced apartments, not only adhering to government guidelines but also proactively taking steps to reduce our impact on the environment.
In particular, we will use the Green Check Action Plan to review targets and review progress. The Action Plan will be reviewed regularly and shared with everyone in the business. The targets with be SMART (Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic and Timely).
